Welcome to The St Simons

Surf Sailors

Club

We are a Sailing, Windsurfing, and water sports club located on East Beach near the old Coast Guard Station on St Simons Island, Georgia. Our catamaran and windsurfer club has been active on St. Simons Island, Georgia since 1974. Our members are from many states in the southeast. Catamarans represented include Hobie, Nacra, Prindle, and a Mystere. We are out to have a good time and enjoy sailing! We have spaces available for transients that come in for a weekend, week, or month. Email us for fee information. You will be parked, & mast up even if it's for only a short time... and you will be practically on the beach... with access to water, electricity, and beach wheels.

The Golden Isles Visitor Guide is your official resource for visitor information: accommodations, activities, events, dining, shopping and much more. This beautifully designed visitor guide will not only help you plan your trip to the Golden Isles, it will be a resource during your visit.  You can pick up a copy at any of our Visitor Information Centers once you arrive.  In the meantime, please view the Golden Isles Virtual Visitors Guide online to begin your trip planning today.

The largest barrier island in the Golden Isles, St. Simons Island lies across the immortalized Marshes of Glynn, made famous by poet Sidney Lanier. Moss-draped oaks line the winding island streets, creating a picture-perfect image worthy of a Faulkner tale. The island’s villages offer a charming and unique selection of shops, plus a variety of restaurants ranging from fine dining to casual outdoor fare.  Visitors and residents alike enjoy cooling down and engaging in a little outdoor recreation at Neptune Park and its Fun Zone, which includes a public pool, miniature golf and a fishing pier.
